Fleet Deckhand

A fleet deckhand helps a vessel operate smoothly by performing maintenance, cleaning, and assisting with tasks like loading cargo. A fleet deckhand is based in one fleet location.

Deckhand

A deckhand helps a vessel operate smoothly by performing maintenance, cleaning, and assisting with tasks like loading cargo. This deckhand position is based on a vessel.

Tankerman

A tankerman oversees the safe transfer of liquid cargo on ships or barges.

Wheelman

The wheelman is ultimately responsible for the safe operation of the entire vessel, from navigation and crew management to ensuring safety and following maritime regulations. A wheelman has a mate of towing license.

Master Wheelman

The master wheelman is ultimately responsible for the safe operation of the entire vessel, from navigation and crew management to ensuring safety and following maritime regulations. A master wheelman has a master of towing license.

All applications must be submitted online.

All applicants must have a valid TWIC and a driver’s license. For the tankerman position, you need a valid United States Coast Guard Merchant Mariner’s Credential with a Dangerous Liquid Endorsement, in addition to a TWIC and a driver’s license.  Captains should have a United States Coast Guard Master’s License suitable for the tonnage and route of the vessel, along with the required endorsements.

Deckhands do not need prior experience; we will train you. Tankermen and captains do need experience, and we offer training for those positions as well.

Yes, we provide training for all positions. 

We offer a range of schedules including 7/7, 14/14, 28/14, 20/10, and 14/7.
