What Are the Requirements to Apply?
All applicants must have:
- A Valid TWIC Card: The Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card is required for accessing secure maritime facilities and vessels. (Click here to apply for your TWIC).
- A Valid Driver’s License: This is necessary for travel to and from assignments.
Additional requirements by position:
- Tankerman: In addition to a TWIC and driver’s license, tankermen must have a valid United States Coast Guard (USCG) Merchant Mariner’s Credential with a Dangerous Liquid Endorsement.
- Captains: Captains need a USCG Master’s License that is suitable for the tonnage and route of the vessel, along with any required endorsements.

Do I Need Experience in the Industry to Apply?
Deckhands: No prior experience is required for deckhand positions. Magnolia Fleet provides comprehensive training to equip new hires with the skills needed for success.
Tankermen and Captains: Both roles require prior experience due to the specialized nature of their responsibilities. However, we also offer additional training to ensure our tankermen and captains meet our high standards of safety and efficiency.
